The track “GABRU HAAN DA” is
produced by Tru-skool (Sukhjit singh olk) taken from album “RAW AS FOLK”. The album
is blend of pure folk taken to another level with breaking boundaries of folk
and mixing it with hip-hop genre. Although it was happening in the scene like
all other desi artists, a few names like DJ SANJ were in the hype, but truly
talking about Tru-skool is something different to be mentioned. Its been six
years from the release of the album still if you are a desi fan, you find it
fresh even these days. Gabru haan da has got hip-hop drum based tones which are
very common in Tru-skool tracks, the difference from other songs in this is SAXOPHONE.
It gives another different vibe to the feel of the track which is very rarely seen
in a desi or bhangra track. Lyrics are amazing, give a perfect feel to the
track.
The track starts with some
hip-hop guys clapping around and the intro is a bit familiar to “NACH KE”
Another track by album “REPAZENT”. Tunes up saxophone in between which lets you
have a premium experience of an original folk song.
The album is a folk oriented hip-hop
with raw lyrics containing desi singers KAKA BHAINIWALA, KULWINDER SINGH JOHAL,
GURBHEJ BRAR, DIPPA DOSANJH (DIPPA SATRANG), SUKHJEET SINGH AULUKH (TRU SKOOL)
singing mind-bubbling 9 tracks.
